993 tt c.e.l. !?!?!?!?!?!
Just had a boatload of work done... Car ran with a few "pops" in the exhaust note here and there. Then I started it today. Drove about a mile at about 30 mph. Came to a stop to take a right turn. When all was clear I gave it a little gas and at about 3000 rpm in first gear the car fell flat on its face, the lights and gauges dimmed a bit, The exhaust popped loud twice and the gosh damn Check engine light came on and stayed on. I immediately took the car back to my storage unit, Let it idle for a bit and then turned it off for about a minute or so. Turned the engine back on and the light was still there. Any ideas why this might happen guys? The work done is below:
Labor Porsche Work Performed - R/R engine assembly, reseal right timing chain housing, front crank seal & all related components. Replaced broken alternator fan shroud, air filter & spark plugs. Cleaned & road tested. Reinspected, no leaks found.
Parts:
Chain Case Gasket, Timing Cover Gasket, Chain Tensioner Gasket, Intermed Shaft O-Ring, Oil Thermostat O-Ring, Crankshaft Seal
Main Bearing O-Ring, Camshaft O-Ring, Cam Retainer Gasket, Spark Plug FR6LDC, Alternator Shroud, Air Filter Element,
Oil 0w-40 Synthetic
I can't stand spending a boatload of money on something that is a dead horse.
Also, Does anyone recommend any specific OBD scan tools?
HELP Please!?!?!?!?!

Alternator.
We are on second one in 12+years... oddly our’s just went this morning. Something is causing a draw..door sensors (i.e. lighting switches, DME, or ignition tumblers...). We have been trying to track the problem down. Their has got to be a short somewhere (in both our vehicles). These cars are not worth giving up on....they are just way too curvy to let slip out of our fingers.

So i scanned the car with a innovate multi scan too (Badass BTW) Came out with a P0301 cylinder 1 misfire
Freeze frame
2nd gear
2800 rpm
50 mph
Anyone had good results with any particular carbon cleanups? I want to do one the right way with no BS chemicals in my cars veins. This thing is my baby. I reset the light and drove it another 50-60 miles today. Flawless operation... Just ask the C6 vette driver with the license plate "BADNUF"
Seriously though... Any suggestions?
