Hey guys I am thinking about getting a 993 turbo I have a 997tt and love it. The car I am looking at is in Canada and is a Canadian car and wanted to know are there any issues bringing into the states or any other issues that I may not know about??The car is cheaper than what they would sell for in the states which scares me. also what questions should I be asking in terms of the condition of the turbos, engine etc etc. I checked the car out from pics and there was no paintwork or accidents that I saw from the carfax any help would be grateful. thanks

 

if a canadian car is cheaper than an american one, there's a really really good reason for it. get a ppi done and spend 350-500 total to get the compression and leak down done. lots can go wrong with these cars and 15 years later there are a lot maintenance issues that creep up.

 

go to the DMV website for the state you are going to try to register the car in and get the right info...there could be safety as well as smog issues when you go to register

 

I found out they repainted the interior from brown to red so I am going to pass
