Alpha Turbo 993 cars

I posted today its been 514 days since I last drove my 993. That day it was mildly modified K16/24, bypass, tune, etc.

Anyone with big turbo 993 experience please chime in and explain to me the different feel of the big turbo cars. especially the full protomotive heads/cam and big fuel upgraded cars. I am so curious and really anxious to get back behindthe wheel.

Sometimes you need to know when enough engine mods is enough. You have one of the best engine builders, but come on, a year and a half to build, that's insane!

I ask myself that time to time. Why so insane parts list. Why it takes this long? Apparently its supposed to be THE recipe. I'm just speechless and anxious. Feel like a 5 year old on a really really long Christmas eve.

Depending on your specific hardware and programming, it will feel faster than all those cars in stock configuration. I have a 996TSCab and with an EVOMS GT700 kit, and I felt the two cars were equal in a straight line comparing my tuned 993TT to the 996 GT700, but because the 993TT is smaller than the 996, the 993 felt more "tossable." But the 993TT has the whole package-the louder air-cooled motor, the classic exterior lines and interior layout, now with "modern" levels of sports car power.

Of course now I am waiting (over a year) for my 996TSCab insane conversion to be completed, due next spring: Protomotive E85/93octane "flex fuel" conversion (), 4.0L, Garrett GT35's, GT3RSR widebody conversion w/ fender flares for 19X10" front/19X13" rear Formula43 wheels, RWD conversion, shooting for 800RWHP/900RWHP+ on 93/E85.

So I know what it feels like to wait, but I'm still wagering it will be worth it.

I am ready. Todd suggested I turn the boost off. Work up slowly and attend a few driver education events. A bit nervous thinking from time to time thinking about all the things there are to be careful with. Oh but I believe the motor will just be the intro to the full restoration anyway. Recently I had the entire car cryogenically detailed. It was pretty good looking in the pics. Although I haven't even laid eyes on it lately. Sad when I see it. But I know she is in good hands.
