993 Turbo Upgrade

I lost a turbo on my 1997 Turbo (40,000 miles) and am considering upgrading to the Borg Warner K24 turbos (same as used on the 993 GT2), along with the necessary ecu re-flash for proper tuning. Has anybody done this? Results? Concerns? Thanks.

Also, I'm getting close to new brakes....what upgrades to pads and rotors are recommended? (I don't want to change calipers or make other mods).

Thanks for your help!

This step is right before the slippery slope. Be careful. Lol. It's fun to happen. I would go with a bolt on k16/16g upgrade and flash from Protomotive. Add an exhaust and 5 bar fuel pressure regulator. This should put you around 500 hp and very reliable. The core exchange turbo upgrade I speak of is less than 2k. The flash, exhaust, and FPR is extra. But a good bypass exhaust is only about 700.

Should be good for near or at C6 Z06 performance levels then as well.
