what can you do to a 933?

hello

i'm currently in the market for 993 targa...or possibly a 993 turbo

i was wondering what you can do to a 993(engine wise, and where can i get the bodykits from? and what kinds of suspensions are out there?). I know nothing about porche tuning, so if you guys can just tell me what's out there it'll be a great help !

thanks

Andy, check out the 993/993tt board on Rennlist.com as there is alot more activity over there for these models. The bottom line is, unless you spend ALOT of money modding a 993 motor, which could include a conversion from 3.6 to 3.8, chips, supercharger, etc, you would be better off getting a 993tt. If you start off with a 993tt, you can get an auxillary oil cooler, larger intercooler, hybrid turbos, remapped ECU along with an assortment of little mods to get well over 500hp.

Suspension choices are also plentiful depending on how you use your car.

Your first 911?
Whatever....good for you....an excellent move (some would have no other).
Bottom line, any 993 is a great place to start.
I see these fellas saving up to buy a 99 996.....
I'm fortunate to have a number of 911s but never will part w/this guy.

For example...I have the Bilstein PSS9 adjustable coil-over suspension, B&B exhaust, FIKSE wheels, K&N air filter, Carrera RS short-throw shifter, DAS Sport roll bar or cage, Brembo brakes, seats, steering wheels, shift *****, and pedal sets all in stock. Let me know if I can help.
