Aftermarket Glove Box Lock?
Aftermarket Glove Box Lock?
Need to create a lockable area in my 993 to store away the Valentine, GPS, etc. Evidently, the 993 was never made with a valet key or a lockable storage area. (Who'd have thought?)
Dealer had no lead on an aftermarket lock I could use on my glove box. Thinking of bolting a box under the bonnet but that would be a drag to use. Anybody have a solution?

Store it under the back seats. When they are down, there is a nice little pocket there. While it's not locked, you can't see anything in it.
If you want to be a baller, you can get the rear seat delete kit, that came with lockable boxes. You might want to ask if you can get the lock, & retrofit it to the glove box.

Can I butt in? New to the forum and just bought a 95 coupe which has a locking glove box. Is this an aftermarket thingy? It does rattle and I was trying to figure out why it fit so loosely. Thought I was missing some gasket ring or something...

Just saw this ad on the Samba for a 993 lower dash with locking glove box door (no key, unfortunately).
