BMC Air Filters

Do any of you have experience with BMC F1 air filters? I have a '96 Carrera 4S and some have advised that these filters have improved performance. Your input would be appreciated.

I have the panel BMC filter, it just replaces the OEM one. It might be good for 2-3hp, but that was enough for me.

I was told the stock filter was the way to go. I threw my BMC out. Didn't notice any difference.
