Looking For Advice on 1995 Euro Conversion 993 Coupe with 64K......

I located a 1995 Euro Conversion 993 (Black on Black Coupe, Tip) with 64,000 miles. The seller is the second owner and brought it back from Germany in 2001 with full EPA and DOT conversion paperwork in hand.

Owner is asking $21K...Tip is definitely not my first choice but with the price, definitely willing to concede for my first 993.

I've searched threads but really haven't found any info on the Euro conversion cars and value, some makes and models it is a detriment to the overall value and others it doesn't matter or is actually a plus.

Any advice, knowledge, insight is greatly appreciated from the members of this wonderful forum...

What is a "Euro Conversion"? Did they put in airbags, & a cat? Did they have to put on the bumperetts?

If it was a 6sp I would say go for it! Slightly higher HP, better trans gearing, no bumperetts, lower ride height.

If you want this car, & a tip, get it, if you want it due to the price alone, you might want to pass. Tips really suck out a lot of the sportyness of the car.

I am going to see the full EPA and DOT paperwork when I look at the car...I haven't driven a tip yet either, so I'll find out how bad it really is...

I thought the price was good due to the pricing of cars that are listed on autotrader to cars.com...quite a few tips with higher mileage going in the high $20's to low $30's...

I've been looking for a 993 for the last 6 months...and in the current climate hoping to find a great price...patience is certainly the key to finding the right car...
