Really? Again?! "Check Engine" light popped on....I need to worry less perhaps?

Hi all- after plenty of dealer work (Autohaus, Inc. Lancaster, PA) on the OBC2 and clearing out the codes ad naseum I have today experienced the (somewhat) dreaded CEL on my 993 C2 Coupe. It was a very hot day and soon after I hit the recircl button on the A/C (perhaps no connection but I mention it anyway), the CEL hits me- I am not too worried as I just recently passed thr VA emissions BUT it is aggrevating. Advice? I am inclined to just ignore it and wait until it clears itself out- I think about 4-6 days or 5-10 starts/stops. Anyone care to offer some other/better advice?

Many Thanks, TriTom

clear the codes, sell it to the dealer that sold it to you and buy a 95

How about reading the codes & see what they are?

If the car was hot, I highly doubt it's the SAI cel.

Interesting....I am doing the reading this AM- and have a check valve on order -my rant was just that, a rant- love the car and got a great deal, incl 3 months of work by the dealer to fix different stuff. I mean, who gives a 3K warranty with a 14 yr old car? Great folk at Autohaus!
Thanks for the feedback all--
TriTom

My guess is the SAI code. It usually comes on about 10-15 min after starting the car for some reason. Get the check valve and do the port cleaning per the instructions on several other sites. Probably a good thing to replace and do anyway even if the code isnt for SAI.

It was the SAI code and I have a check valve enroute! Any idea how long/how much labor to remove old one and install new one might be? Anyone? It is not rusted, most likely....
