I have a 1997 911 Cab Silver/Black with 38,000 miles. I have owned car for last 8 years and it has been almost maintenance free. I am trading the car for a 991. My dealer is telling me the value is $22,000. The reasoning is it has been hit twice in rear. Both times the damage was minor (the car wasn't moving) but I replaced the rear fender. It was done through insurance so they are on the Carfax. What do people think about the price? It seems like $10,000+ is a very high number to deduct for accidents.

 

That is a very lowball offer ... I would think you can get $30k for the car very easily with the demand for 993s now, especially if you can document both repairs with either photos or invoices.

 

dealers always lowball people. I would assume you'd be better of selling it privet sale and then taking the money into the dealer to buy the 991.
