New to me 993

You made the right move, so don't look back. The longer you have the car, guaranteed you'll be wondering what took you so long to get into one!
Just keep in mind, 993s are older cars and certain things need to be updated to get closer to full enjoyment of the car's potential. If it's running factory suspension, that def has to be changed.
The list can go on, check out Rennlist and you'll get plenty of ideas!
Congrats on the purchase.

Congrats! Ditto on the suspension. Most 993's suspension is done by 40K miles. Try Pelican Parts forums for good 993 feedback and info, too.
I talk like I already own one. Still looking for that elusive 930.
