Question regarding 993 C2S

Hello gang!
I am considering purchasing a 1996 993 C2S. I have a few questions though:
1) Were there any made WITHOUT the turbo front end ("regular" front end with a splitter)??
2) Did any come with a whale-tail inistead of the split grill which is a defining feature of the "S" models?

I ask these questions because the car I am looking at is described as an "S", but I have yet to see any defining features of the "S" on the car.
Also, the dials haev been replaced to white dials, apparently non-oem, and there is no "Carrera S" designation on the tach.
The only thing that alludes to the car being an "S" is the decal on the rear of the car.

Thanks!!!

DANNY BREMEN is infamous around these parts
It will have a wide body and the split grill will be painted the same color of the 993 only on the c2s it will also have yellow brakes . As far as the wail tails on the c2s yes there were some it was the areo 2 kit if I am not mistaken rare though and you will pay extra !!

Porsche only made the C2S in 1997 and 1998.

The other widebody C4S was made between 1996 and 1998...

That's your first clue.

Post some pictures and we will be able to tell you right away if its a C2S. One tell tale sign is that the guage should also say Carrera S.
