993 4S worth$
I am considering buying a very clean example of a 1996 4s, 30k. One issue, it's been modded, by the dealer, to be 'faster.' Engine bored out, different intake, etc...$30k in work done. I have driven it, the car is literally perfect. I personally don't mind the mods, they were done at a dealer and it drives amazing.
Does this take away from the asking price of $59k? What is a moded one worth? I realize this is very open ended, so generally speaking if you will. Thanks in advance.

as mentioned, post on RL.
personally, i think $59k is high for a modded car. the real value in 993 WBs (and NBs) is in vehicles that are true to the original design. you want mods that can be removed and gone back to original. all solid money comes to vehicles that are the closest to stock in it's day. just my $0.02.

I pretty much agree that some mods can detract, but the fact that it was done by a dealer helps.
I wonder what happened with this deal?

I agree that most mods will detract from the stock status of this beauty ... yes it helps if mods can be removed, although kinda hard unbore an engine. Still sounds like a nice ride ... not many with only 30k.
I also wonder how this played out
