Is there a knock or any problems accociated with the first generation automatic transmission? Does it affect the price or desireability of the 993?

 

I assume you are aware a manual will always be more desirable and bring more money in a 993 and most other models as well.

 

my buddy has two.... driven both.... drive nice but yes to above

 

the tip is just over geared with a that tune makes it start in 2nd gear which exacerbates the issue. otherwise drives nicely and makes you not notice the small foot area. Also repairs and replacements are dirt cheap as well as really reliable. Looks like there is a good 15k in price difference between them
