993 Stone Guards

Hello,

Anyone changed the 993 rear stone guards. Mine are dinked and discolored (brown tint) and need replacing. Don't know how to change them or how much $ if I had them done by shop. Any help is appreciated.

Mike

Patience, a fair amount of time and a heat gun will get them off

You can help it along by driving the car (get the engine to operating temp), then let the car sit in the sun to further head the stone guards, and use a heat gun to loosen the guards.

Just be patient and peel away. You might need some 3M adhesive remover afterward to remove any excell adhesive.

Polish the area and apply the new ones.
