Lonestar 60-130 comp. and 360 at 70MPH!
I am going to help you out here Paulie. Buy this car. It is just 50 miles from Todd/Protomotive. Slap a full GT700 package, and then you will be competative again.

.But I gotta say...you remind me of drivers...everywhere. When I autocross, there are always some drivers that look down on drag racing. When I go to the drag strip so many make fun of low horsepower cars like the Miata (girly? take one on at an autox). When I do a driving event there are drivers who despise drifting (actually they are present at autox and drag events too!). So...60-130 runs, the Texas mile, Bonnevile salt flat land speed record trials...all you do is stomp on the gas and go. Well that sounds like another great opportunity to push my and my car's limits. It's all in good fun.
Chris,
You are like me. I love all aspects of racing and I want a car that does it all: track/road course, top end (200mph capabilities) and drag/ highway racing capablilities. That is why I love my car she does it all and is incredibly reliable.
However, it is a misconception to thing it is just step on the gas and go, especially w/ a 6 speed. Actually, you have to, with my car, go easy in 1st and 2nd and roll into 3rd nice and gentle. At around 50 you need to hit it so that you will build boost and have max momentum when you hit 60. The frequent problem is, w/ high rwhp that moment (if done properly) is when your car decides to pitch itself sideways is it is truly fast (happened a bunch of times sat.). Finally, you need fast hand speed as a slow shift will cost up to a full extra second.
If you (McClaren) have awd and less than 500 hp it is not a challenge, but then you won't have one of the fast cars either.

Actually, I think the flyer says "World Championship" which I thought was pretty

.

I am in complete agreement! This is a hobby for most of us, thus we should do what ever we like as long as we are happy doing it! I cant wait to hook up with you this weekend.

Wow, you resorted to taking a pot shot at a simple spelling error in my signature? I'm glad you guys enjoy it, thats why we modify cars. I just find it funny that you say it takes "Skill" to do a roll on. What takes skill is launching that car from a dig and getting it to 60' right, or taking it around Mosport. Not powershifting 3rd and 4th. As for not being a challenge with under 500hp and AWD, I agree, but I doubt its a challenge with 700hp and AWD either. Try driving an older aircooled 911 with 700+WHP with a street weight of 2400lbs, now thats challenging, even on a roll with 315 width drag radials. Look, overall I'm just happy to see people beating the **** out of their cars. I just wish Porsche/Vette/Supra owners would do a little more then 60+mph roll ons with them, and thats the trend I see lately. I think the top speed runs are a lot better then a simple 60-130, which is why I don't bash them. Going 200mph takes skill, lots of it. And even though we butt heads quite often Dr Jitsu, I still respect what you do with your car(s). Take care and be safe.

LOL. I was trying to convince Tommy Sat night to swap on Peter's ET Streets so that we could finally truly speed rate them
Have you ever seen/heard of Mark Shock's built black 930 here in Cleveland? Sounds a bit like yours.
I tried to get him to run me in my previous Supra a number of times last year, but he wouldn't bite
