GT2CS is infamous around these parts
First Post - Tuning, wheels and ground clearance

Hi Guys,

My first post and I am the proud owner of a pretty rare 2002 GT2 Club Sport which I got after I sold my E60 M5. The M5 was a great car but I really ached for something a bit more hard core and had always wanted a Porsche since a colleague drove me in his 993 Carrera many years ago. I am really happy with the purchase and have already done a track day with an instructor at Snetterton in the UK to get to know the car better. Over time I am looking to tune the GT2 to 630bhp (its currently 530bhp with the DMS remap) and was contemplating using 9ff. Does anyone have any experience with their conversions?

I am also looking at changing the wheels at some point - can you guys post some pictures of different wheels on your cars to make a decision easier. Thanks. Does anyone know what the weight difference is between different wheels versus the standard ones as ideally I'd like to lower the unsprung weight a bit.

Here in the UK with our uneven roads I find the front of the car bottoms regularly and was wondering if I put 19" wheels on would this help raise the car a touch to reduce this. I guess it links in to the profile of the tyres too but if anyone has any comments they would be much appreciated.

Thanks and happy and safe driving

Andrew (London)

With the 19" wheels, your car will sit just a bit higher than stock, because the outside diameter is larger. I have uneven roads here, so I just drive carefully
