Couple of points. Markski knows what he's talking about. Pull the PSM fuse so that it stays totally off - the difference is amazing. Also lower the tire pressures down to 23psi all around. The trap seems low. On my Stage 1 (??) K16 car I trapped the same as you in the 1/8th and 126.50 and consistently in the 123-124's for the 1/4. Could be a boost leak?
jimmer - your 1/4 times are really fast on k16's. Can you tell me more about those wastegate springs? Are you running a race file with the GIAC tune? What bar are you pulling. Thanks in advance!

We had a track day yesterday here in Maryland for the 6speedonline guys, 100 degrees outside but my GT2 with computer tune and muffler as the only mods ran 11.06 and 11.07 at about 125, 126 mph in the brutal heat. I did have drag radials on for those 2 runs but it ran 11.23 with the stock Michelins. It seems with all those mods the car should run a bit better than that? Maybe needs a little tuning?

Those are some impressive figures for just an ecu. what was ur 60ft.?
I try not to pool together 996tts and 996 gt2s in the saem pot since they are two different animals especially when it comes to 1/4 runs... not to mention that the gt2 is 300+ lbs lighter and has no PSM to fight with.
11.0 is fast for just k24s with a ecu. who did the ecu?

Prototech out of Florida did it about 5 years ago when I bought the car. I bought the car new and really haven't driven it much the last couple of years, only has 3340 miles. I have quite a few cars, and have been driving my Ford GT and Z06 the last couple of years and haven't been giving the GT2 much attention, but I found this website (6speed) a couple of months ago and it rejuvenated me. So I read about a track day 6speed was doing so I signed up, and I decided to put a muffler on the car as well and ordered one from Vivid racing and ordered a set of drag radials for 10 inch porsche rims. My 60'
was an 1.56 on the .06 run, and 1.60 on the .07 run, they were good but believe it or not I think I can come out even harder. I was driving 2 cars and lost my rythem with the porsche, I had a 1.63 on the stock michelins and that resulted in a 11.23 run and that was before I bolted on the drag radials. I really believe when the temps drop 40 degrees to about 60 around here I am going to pick up a couple of tenths and be solid in the tens. I think thats pretty good for a tune and a muffler.

Thanks Marski! I was thinking about modifying it but it ran so good I think I am just going to leave it alone and try to drive it better, high 10's will be good enough for me.

And what's this fuel leak? Did you fix it, and how did it happen?

Good luck, and can't wait to see more times.

EDIT: WOW Marty, nice MPH in the TX Mile! CONGRATS!
When my new clutch was installed, the adapter's between the fuel rails and hose/pump where not tight. Got it fixed today.

I launched real moderate and had no tire spin. The word was the track was really hooking up that day. I was pumped to launch hard but was turned away due to the leak. I was going to lower pressure on subequent run after determining at what lunch RPM it woud be required.

I show 1.3 bar. Would like to tighten WG' to see 1.5, but afraid for stock internals. I did a full pressure test and boost i pretty we contained.

Other thn that, it was my first andd only try and it woud be strange if I didn't suck (for now )

Mike

Zippy,

Definately try again because you should be in the high tens and at least 130 mph or better.

Great job for your first time though!
