Great job Tim and Buddy. So how long did it take? I am about to do the same surgery to my car. I have collected all the necessary parts- just need a free weekend. Hopefully I can recruit an extra pair of hands. Buddy...?

You know how I feel about Texas!
Great write up.
Ok you're on.
I'm just waiting on a bag of goodies from US to arrive in 2 days(c/o friendly aussie 996tt owner who just flew back).I anticipate that they should keep me happy for 6-12 months and after that
probably a turbo upgrade.
If you do make it, there are 3 major motorsport events on the east coast that might be of interest..Indy(you see plenty of that in the US no doubt), F1 and Targa Tasmania.
In the meantime best of luck with your upgrade plans.

Hey Buddy, that install looks great. thanks for the pics. I am doing the exact same thing at the end of the month, so a few quick questions. Does the Greddy solenoid repace the factory one and is it in the same location? I noticed you removed the Y pipe. for easy install I assume? You did not remove the headers was it a ***** to R&R turbo with headers on? And finally how inconvenient is it to have the EBC in the console rather than in the dash? Thanks Mike
Mike,
I would stongly suggest mounting the Greddy in the console, so that it is visable. I made a custom enclosure in CF, but even mounting it in the lower storage bin with velcro to keep it secure would be fine. The reason I say this is that you can monitor boost at all times, as it reads out in real time - so it is like adding a boost gauge. Also, after every hard pull, it flashes the high boost for 5 seconds - which is great feedback to monitor your settings. Thirdly, you can make adjustments to boost very easily, even while on the fly. AND the Greddy has a high boost memory feature, which is accessed by pushing the lower left button 4 times (basically scrolling through the various settings in memory, then the last item displayed is the high boost memory). I use these features every day by monitoring real time boost on a regular basis and periodically checking the high boost memory. IMO, a visable mounting spot is extremely functional. Here is a picture that shows how I did it and it works fantastic. Colorinc, you should consider running your lines up to the front for the above reasons. Having used the Greddy for a season now, I think you would find it very useful.
