I love 4th...

I need to have my tranny fixed. I had it rebuilt through SG, and now my 5th is off.

I think my car should be faster than most modded 997tts.

I can't wait for another meet . I better lay off the grub for thanksgiving.... my car doesn't need any more weight...

 

Hahaha, sorry man, It's not often we see Vik and his car out running the streets, so I guess I was just consentrating on that. Don't worry, when you get faster, I won't be able to miss ya!

Your car is fast man, and your driving is great to... BUT wtf is up with these other drivers in most of the videos?!? When I drive my turbo (and you can see from youtube videos and pulls) there is no lag or boost dropoff between my shifts, its instant and I never drop back, weird!

Thx Martin, to be honest Bro I've ran 4 996TT's and they all have the same pattern in their shifts/lag, the Stage 4's have more lag of course, the two stage 2's pretty much the same outcome as the 997TT. The 997TT was a bit quicker than one stage 2, and about on par with the other.

Against the Stage 2's and 997TT, I would jump 1/2 a car ahead, then they would start to slightly catch up, then when I hit 4th I'd pull. Andre, "Onetime" the Stage 2 I ran, said the same thing last night after the runs with the 997TT. K16's maybe small in comparison to K24's or GT28's, but they're pretty big when only 3 cylinders are pushing them. S 4's run K04's smaller turbo's than K16's, they don't have much lag really, when we ran Thomas' Stage 4 Karl's S4 and I would get a good jump on him do to the lag, but once Thomas' turbo's spooled up Game over.

Last night doesn't count Thomas, I was spinning badly in 2nd! You'll still whip me good though Bro.

I don't think there's any drop off or lag between shifts for the TTs. I think that Drew's car has that high redline and is able to hold the gear longer between shifts and when he shifts to a higher gear his car continues to pull away. I've seen it with mine and with the 997 TT.

Drew I wish you were around here, hell all of you guys and we didn't have so many cops :/ Would be some great runs that's for sure, I only pointed that out because of my personal pulls/videos and experience with both! While the NA response of the supercharged M is AMAZING, being at the right RPM in a turbo porsche given it has a nice setup with K16's or hell K24's, I was able to get the jump on several NA car's (Viper's, GT3's, M3's, M5's) that also could be due to a power difference between the two though, so many variable's.

All I know is, if you were to see some of the videos of my car from the outside, there qwould be no drop off between shifts like im seeing in these, just found it odd that's all
