Has anyone tried the Blinder Xtreme or the Passport SRX. Which one is the best?

 

According to the tests I've seen, the Laser Interceptor has the highest level of deterrence, over all common police laser guns. Some one else will have to post the link or search the archives.

 

Read the Laser Interceptor thread I started a couple of day ago as it has the links in it.

 

Has anyone installed the laser interceptor? Anyone called them to do a group buy? I recently got a LIDAR ticket. Woud be very interested in getting a system.

 

IMO...once you get to the high end units they all work pretty much the same. I have the Escort model (SR7 w/shifters) and have not gotten a ticket since I installed it. The problem with those tests is they all seem so potentially biased...to sell product one way or another...

Wros996TT, did you do the install or have it done? I just picked up the Bel RX75 PLus which is the same unit as the SR7 w/shifter and looking for tips on install..where did you/they put the laser blockers and the radar detection unit? I'm used to a V1 and I'm also concerned about rear radar, what has your experience been? Thanks

I have the K40 front and rear laser. Front is installed low in the front center of the bumper and rear is a the plate mount. I am not a proponent of ridiculously high speed on a public road but I will tell you that it saved my *** at about 115 mph late one night. It is the best money you will spend.

 

I've used Blinder's for many years. M10 in the past and now M20 they work excellent (In scandinavia anyway). Only problem as I see it is that the units are rather difficult to hide on a Porsche. The jammers are illegal in Sweden so you either put your licence or the jammers at stake when speeding. The Blinder will give a jam readout on the laser units used by the local police so they will pull you over and start looking.......

 

My indy did the jammers...I did the CD mod.

 

I have a 2 new, unused Blinders I havent even installed yet when I bought them almost a year ago. But I have had the SR7 in my old M5 save my butt big time.

 

So these are better mounted towards the center of the car?
