I am too cheap to bring 2 cars. 81 degrees anyway....I need 60 to get below 6.5.

Warm is good for the Toyo Tr1's on the BMW, however.

God himself could drive the GT2, and in 81 degree heat she will run 6.6's all day....oh, wait, I was 228lbs last time...I have lost 9 pounds since then, maybe that will help, lol.

 

We should be there in Matt's car pending Battery failure (long story, but dumbass left it on a 40amp charge over night (smelled like burning battery this morning)) or the car just blows up (We are Powells... Random part failure is a norm.).

 

Is there a scale at Lonestar?

 

Going on both my memory and my brothers (just asked him) there is no scale at LSR. I do not remember seeing one on the return road. I think the only track in town that has one is HRP (I know HMP (1/8th mile) does not either).

 

I swear, I really have lost 9 pounds...don't your believe me?

hey guys, I'm new to this forum but have met Dr Jitsu and DrJoe before. Do you guys mind if I go just to watch? I have a Lambo Gallardo but I have a scheduled clutch service on Monday at LoH as it is wearing thin so I am not going to do any track/runs on it. If I go, I'll bring it though.

I also have a friend with an 08 Z06 that may go. Dr. Jitsu and Dr.Joe have met him.


Everyone is meeting at 10:30AM on I-10 and Eldridge, right?

I"m pretty sure I can go. I'll bring the car. If I was a high school kid, I would probably be peer pressured to do it But I really can't, don't want to take the risk in screwing something up before my clutch change on Monday. Service director advised me not to do it so I'm going to follow the advice. I'm just going to gawk and admire everyone else's fast car. I've never been to an event like this, so it should be fun.

 

Do you you know whose Ford GT is coming? I have a family friend with a Ford GT and he was telling me about 3 events he was going to soon. I wonder if this is one of them...
