Anybody Going to Limerock next weekend?
Just wondering if any of you guys are coming out to the races at Limerock Park Memorial day weekend.
Apart from the Bush North Series running Saturday, here is a blurb from their webside about the fun part of the weekend:
The Mohegan Sun Grand Prix features five sports car series, eight races and a special celebration commemorating the 35th Anniversary of the Formula Ford.
North America’s premier production-based sprint series – the SCCA Pro Racing Speed World Challenge Championships – will anchor a five-race card on Memorial Day, continuing the sports car tradition at Lime Rock that dates back to 1972.
Supporting the Speed GT and Touring Car Championships are Formula BWM USA, which is making its debut at Lime Rock, the Mazdaspeed Miata Cup Presented by Hankook Tires, and the Spec Racer Challenge. Formula BMW USA and the Mazdaspeed Miata Cup will run double features and will augment the NASCAR Busch North Series with races on Saturday.
On Sunday, May 30, the Mazda Extreme Street car show returns to Lime Rock with an amazing display of sports compact, tuner and aftermarket cars, and live entertainment and music. Then on Memorial Day, a drifting exhibition will be held during the lunch hour, featuring a team of four to six professional drifters, who will perform a variety of demonstrations on sections of Lime Rock’s road course. In drifting competitions, drivers control a car while it slides from side to side at high speed through a marked course.
