Another piece of info. to share. While at the Concorso Italiano last Friday, I met Ralph Boothe of Ralph Boothe Design. He makes those fine hand painted crests for our Porsche's. I also learned he has a process for the exhaust tips, he called it black nichol plating. It leaves the tips with a chrome finish, yet with a slight gold hue. The ones on his car looked clean, even after a long drive.

 

That sounds cool.. I've seen them in black nickel plating before (AJ Usa?).
