SG650 probs
Cool guys... thanks for the support. Im gonna stay grounded and skeptical LOL cuz I dont want to be majorly dissappointed again. IM definetly happy about the added HP but I would take a 100hp loss just to have it problem free at this point. The money pit begins.... this reminds me of my old FI 350z project

are you running the stock boost solenoid? you should run a Greddy Profec B which will keep your boost consistant. they have a built in warning feature to cut boost if it tries to go past a preset limit.
What is the difference between the 650 and 700?

From what i understand, the 700 kit has new injectors/fuel rails/lines
yup new injectors and programming....they were already running a diode on the 650 kit to fool the ecu that max boost is 1.1 ...but i guess theres some bugs to work out ....
I have a greddy profec and on my set up it works great. I also know that the ecu needs to be coded for it...

Buddyg and other gt700 guys have been using the EBC with GIAC SW.
HEY GUYS…THANKS FOR ALL THE FAITH AND FEEDBACK. WE DID GET PNOOB2’S CAR BACK HERE AND FIGURE THAT THE SG700 SOLUTION WILL GIVE US A CHANCE TO PULL THE MOTOR OUT AND SORT OF START FROM SCRATCH. WE HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING, CHANGED A LOT OF COMMONLY FAILING PARTS AND SO ON, EVEN PUTTING 80+ MILES ON THE CAR TO TEST AND SAVE HIM A TRIP.
PNOOB2 HAS BEEN VERY PATIANT AND WE HAVE DONE ALL THE BASIC DIAGNOSTICS FOR HIM AS A CURTISY. THE FUNNY PART IS HE HAS A DIODE, BUT ALSO A DEFI BOOST GUAGE. IT DOES NOT GO OVER 17-19 PSI. MAYBE A 20 PSI SPIKE. IT IS ONE OF THOSE PHANTOM ISSUES THAT COME OUT WITH ADDED BOOST AND UPGRADES. WE HAVE HAD TRICKY PHANTOMS BEFORE AND ALWAYS GET THEM. HANG IN THERE.

Hi 996tt experts, I been on this forum a while now and realize a lot of members here have great input and expertise with turbo upgrades....I recently got the SG650 kit from speed gallery and was instantly blown away by the great power, however shortly after i got it back it overboosted. My car instantly went into "limp mode" and I had to bring it back to speed gallery, after having Dan turn down the wastegates I happily took it home and within another week and a half my car went into limp mode without even physically overboosting (stayed below 20psi the whole time).
It just cut out, felt like my car went from 650 to stage 2 instantly. So again I brought it back to speed gallery, Sam proceeded to tell me it might be a issue with my stock boost controller so he generously switched that out for me, and i took it home again....Right when I drive it home (about 50 miles each way) the car went into limp mode once again =(
Keep in mind this is the third time I made the 100 mile round trip commute and have now taken a total of 3 days off work, so this time I had it towed back to Speed Gallery at my expense.
Once at Speed Gallery Sam, Nick, and I mutually agreed to have SG keep the car for around a week to really diagnose the problem. FAST FORWARD one week I get a call from Sam saying its a "check valve" issue from my car not the kit ...they replace it at my expense and I tow it back. They also put 80 miles on the car to diagnose the problem with no further conclusions besides the check valves.
Now 30 minutes back into having my car and within 15 miles of driving my car goes into "limp mode" again.....I call SG and they are as lost as I am ...1 month and $13,000.00 later i have a car thats "sometimes" fast.... any insight will help....again Im not bashing on SG they seem to be as lost as I am with this problem...anyone with ANY insight will be greatly greatly appreciated...SO sorry for this super LONG @$$ post!.... Thanks

I must admit as having my own share of problems it can be very frustrating.
The important thing is you went to a reputable tuner and they are willing to do what it takes to fix things and hopefully all will come out well.
but I think your post can also be a warning to all of us that start "modding" the car that this can happen to anyone at anytime and is the risk you take when you start messing with the stock car.
I think we all have to be willing to put up with problems, the bottom line for me is a tuner that will back his work up through thick or thin and do what it takes to make things right.
At least if you feel that way you at least know all sooner or later will come out good in the end.
good luck, hope things work out!!
(coming from a guy who just bought an entire new engine cause he blew one up so bad the case and crank broke!)
