Clutch Force Question - Stock

I have noticed that my garage queen has developed something that I am not sure if I should be concerned about. If the car has been sitting for a week or so (climate controlled garage), the clutch pedal is harder to push in to start the car. When started all is normal but I have noticed this a few times now and am wondering if something is going. Any advice?

Stock orginal clutch with 26k miles

Same problem here,it's probably the accumulator,it's mounted above the gearbox ,looks like an oilfilter..Costs around 120$ without labor.

DougNH is on a distinguished road
I have the same issue however it takes just 1-2 days of sitting for it to happen (2001 996tt 46k miles). Once I start the car it goes back to normal in about 30-60 seconds.

I'm guessing they have to drop the tranny to get to it...

Yes you have do drop the tranny a little bit,it's not difficult ,takes maybe 30 minutes to drop it.

Here's the word I just heard back on this issue:
Nope, that is normal. It is about three days that will happen as the accumulator looses pressure. That is normal.

Hmmm, check around your reservoir and see if you have fluid leaking. This is a sign of master/slave and/or accumulator going bad.

Here's my experience in order:
1. fluid leaking/stiff clutch pedal after sitting a couple days
2. dealer told me I overfilled the reservoir (which I didn't)
3. dealer siphoned fluid out of the reservoir
4. days later I had fluid leaking again
5. called dealer and informed them once again of the leak
6. dealer replaced slave
7. fluid stll leaking/stiff clutch pedal after sitting a couple days
8. dealer replaced accumulator
9. fluid leaking/stiff clutch pedal after sitting a couple days
10. Alex/James diagnosed master cylinder failure - I no longer use the dealer
11. tossed all that stuff and went to GT2 actuator
12. Me - happy camper
