UMW Flash installed

Just got the UMW flash installed on my 2005 TTS (93/94 Octane program), and WHOA

The power band is quite different and feels a lot more linear than before. I didn't push too hard since my front alignment is a tad off, but saw 1.1 bar without too much difficulty (not sustained WOT), I would think 1.2-1.3 should not be a problem.

Europipe is on its way, so can't wait to get that installed next week!

Kevin also provides a little handheld loader that you plugin the diagnostics port and eh voila, 15seconds to switch between stock, performance or valet.

Kevin, thanks again, fantastic job.

Jagsiva, are you concerned at all about voiding your warranty if you have a problem with your engine (or ECU) down the road or does the ability to switch back to the stock program take care of that concern?

Being able to restore the stock profile does to some extent. But more importantly, if you read all these forums, have you heard of a case where and engine has blown up because of a flash? Besides, you only live once

More importantly, there are stories of cars blowing up for no reasons- or porsche defects- and a flash will cause PCNA to deny a claim, without any discussion of cause.

But still I'd do it.

A second ECU is the only way around this problem. Porsche can see flashed ECU's no matter what someone says.
