If there's going to be any difference, PSM kicks in with some ugly
behavior if it thinks the fronts are sliding/spinning (if they are
smaller in diameter they are turning faster than the rears, and
the viscous clutch and PSM will want to make them go slower.
It'll put brakes on one wheel in turns.
If the rears are a little smaller, the viscous clutch will try to
put more power to the front to get them to turn more. It
make the car pull nicely around tight corners.
I run 2.5-3 degrees of negative camber in the front,
and .5 degrees less in the rear.

Thanks Joe. I'm looking forward to autox'ing the TT next year...

As for the GT3 originally mentioned in this thread. The GT3 stock should demolish a stock TT. Reasons:

1. lighter car
2. predictable & linear power curve
3. brakes are just as good (better with less weight)
4. the extra power in TT is hard to reach (enough time to build boost)!!!

my 25 cents....

Cheers,
Boris

Not sure if it is mentioned above but, to set your camber correctly you need a temp gauge. It is called a pyrometer and you can pick one up at saferacer.com I think. Any track car type store should have them. I think you are a math guy, so this should be easy for you. You want to take three temps across the tire. After a run, jump out and take the temp at the inside tread, mid-tread, and outside tread of each tire. Always start with the same tire and always go in the same direction. Record those temps along with the air temp, wet/dry ground, and the pavement temp. Keep these in a track/course book along with your current camber setting.

Ok, here is what you do with the temps. You want the temps to be even across the tread. They won't be. Unless a pro set up the car for that track at those condiditions.
1) inside 20 degrees hotter than outside = too much camber
2) Inside 20 degree cooler than outside = Not enough camber
3) middle temp higher than the average of inside and outside = too much air pressure
4) middle temp lower than the average of inside and outside = not enough air pressure

If you need more info, PM me. I'd be happy to explain in more detail. I am not sure how your suspension handles (or if it allows) camber adjustments. If it doesn't I recommend getting one that does. Mine has shims that I can remove or add.

thanks that was a very clear explanation and it makes a lot of sense

Now to accomplish that you have to start somewhere.

I have jic cross suspension with kinesis wheels and a6 tires.

I'm open to suggestions.
