2003 Turbo for 77-79,000?

Here's the catch. The car was in a crash with passenger side door and rear quarter panel damage. There was no engine damage or intrusion into the engine compartment. The pictures I've seen of the repair show a perfect car. All door and quarter panel as well as all seems and rocker panel pictures are perfect.

The price is 20-25,000 under current price. I've had cars that I've crashed and could never tell if they were ever in a crash. This seems like a great deal.

What are your thoughts. Thanks.

Ken

IMO a crashed car is never the same but that is a huge savings

I have been in a similar accident and the car is not the same. The door tends to rattle and they cannot find the problem. I would not buy the car. You must understand that you will receive 20k-25k less than the car is worth when you sell it. If you do not have another 20k, then buy the car. But if you have the money, I think you will be the same financially when you sell the car. You might save a little in depreciation with the crashed car, but I would never do it. Dan

If the car is leased, wouldn't it better to assume the lease since the bank would take the hit on the diminished value instead of the consumer?

I would not touch it. There is a reason the discount is there ...
