I reiterate....Mini Cooper S.
Add an exhaust header, exhaust system, cold air intake, 15% smaller supercharger pulley and some H&R springs (picture is pre-H&R's) at a grand aftermarket total of maybe $3K and you have a super handling, 200hp go-kart.
In fact, TonyNJ, after giving him a ride in mine, went out and bought one!!

With all due respect, Dave, I've had a bone to pick with Audi every since they released the Audi TT.

If Audi could have made the Quattro RWD biased like our Turbos, the car would have been 10 times more desirable for performance enthusiasts. Such a beautiful car, and Audi was so close... yet so far...
I was easily able to correct the understeer problem with a set of PSS9's and some camber adjustable rear LCAs. There is also a couple of companies that make bias control boxes for the haldex drivetrain...you can dial them to any bias you want. Its and easy software hack...

I agrree with you about the vehicle in stock form. I think it was an over-reaction to the understeer problems they had with the first batch in germany. but its an easy fix and the car just a blast to drive after that...

I like my M3

But ya, WRX's are pretty nice for a newer used car; and mini's are sweet too.

Imo you can't beat an ITR for a great track car. It might be a little harsh around town, but it is priceless to see the faces of people with cars worth 5x as much as you pass them on the track.

I like 'em alot, my buddy has a '96, that now has over 180k miles on it, that sucker still pulls hard and he don't baby that thing.

The torque is really nice with the VR6 motors

Punched out to 3.2-liters & a 4-valve head:
Porsche Cayenne & Audi TT engine. 250hp.

Fun cars...we have one (not a VR6, it's a 1.8T), and it's a blast to drive. Very torquey (sp?)...can definitely be had for under 20k (2003MY, slighty used.)

And since we're in the show-off mode, here's ours.

It's a 2003 20th Anniv. Editon...most of the visual attractions are stock- 18" OZ wheels, Recaro seats, body kit, etc. Audi TT brakes, tranny.
