My car is Red with a black interior with red deviating stitching...What do you guys think of red faced gauges? Is it appropriate or over the top. Thanks in advance for your HONEST input. I don't offend easily. I found this image for reference:

JK,

I have seen that car in Miami, that car belongs to ESK. I think that car is beautiful. Your car with the red gauges would look great. I have a white TT and have the white gauges. IMHO, the red gauges will work well with the overall appeal of the car.

BTW, why didn't you make it to the Boca event!

i like white gauges the best regardless of what car or what color. That being said i don't think the red will look bad so if you like it then go for it

Had a prior commitment as I just got my car last Friday. I will definitely be at the next gathering. I saw your car on here prior to mine arriving and it really got me pumped. We have very similar cars other than the color. Mine is red with Techno wheels and the turbo aerokit. Your car is really sharp. I like the wheel inner section painted white...I wonder how that would look on a red car.

I also like the rear bumper mods...where do you have that done? Thanks for the reply.

JK,

Have "GreyGhost" photoshop your the red inserts onto the rims. That way you can get a good idea. If you want to have the rear bumper mod and rims painted go to "Stuttgart Collision" in Miami. They do all the work for "The Collection" (Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Maserati, Audi) dealership. Send me a PM and I can discuss further with youany questions that you may have.

Give me a call sometime this week somtime, we sell the guage faces and we can install them as well. Its not somthing you want to do yourself. You must remove and take apart the entire guage cluster which is extremely delecate and expensive.

I recently purchased my GT2 out of state and prior to the purchase I had not seen the car in person. I was a bit apprehensive because the car had the red faced gauges and began looking for a means to replace them. But, now after having the car for a week, I have really grown to like them and will definately be keeping them.
I say go for it.

Looks great! Your car has the one option I missed when I ordered and now I'm really pissed at myself. I ordered everything I wanted except the red stictching on the steering wheel. An oversight that has me going nuts. I wonder if there is a way to add it?

just a friendly suggestion - seeking style advice of the board is helpful, but ultimately it is your car and your life - do whatever floats your boat and make you the happiest. remember beauty is in the eye of beholder - goodluck

I'm sure you can purchase a wheel with red stiching from either Porsche or a tuner.
I have the thicker optional CPV steering wheel in this car which I highly recommend getting if you are going to be replacing the whole wheel.

I didn't miss the thicker wheel option! What a difference over the standard wheel. If I didn't have the thicker wheel, I would definitely swap it out for a new one with the stitching.

I agree. Like I said in my earlier post, I will follow my gut and go for it. I do value what the guys on here have to say though, but ultimately I'm doing what I want unless the feedback is 100% opposite of what I think might look good. Thanks for the input.
