Removing side air vents!?

Forgive me as im new and not even sure this is the right forum but im hoping some of you guys can help.

I have bought some carbon side vents as pictured but they done have the vent/slat mechanism fitted , simple i thought , remove them off my OEM ones and swap straight over , no so. They seem to be plastic welded on there or something , does anyone have any tips/guides as how to do this properly?

Thanks again

Paul

Depending on what year the internals are coming out of, early cars you could simply remove them from old and install on the new ones if they are from a newer car they are installed and they melt plastic the tabs..never tried removing on new vents.. Now if your talking about the plastic insert tabs, they can be removed it is time consuming but can be done. First remove the plastic spine, then you simply bend the plastic slab a little and they come out. I know pictures would help here, sorry I have none. I have done this with some artic silver ones I had so i am living proof. Good luck
