Orton Performance Tuned my ECU the other day

I am very pleased with the result. The car is a K16 with no other mods aside from K&N. The entire RPM band across each gear is stronger. The boost comes on sooner, quickly hitting and sustaining 1.0 BAR in each gear with no problem. I can even use 6th gear as passing gear now. Not as much fun as down shifting of course. The on/off boost transitions are much smoother too.

Orton also changed my plugs and oil. The shop was nice, and the service excellent. I will definitely go back to guys for future mods.

Congrats on the upgrade ! I've had an Orton ECU in my car for over 3 years now with no issues at all...great power and torque !

Neil does all my service work as well...great shop.

Next on your list : set of JIC coilovers and B&M short shifter !

BTW, where in Atlanta are you ? I'm in Johns Creek/Duluth area

Congrats again,
Bill

Bill,
Thanks! Yep, coilovers are next. Planning to do those in March. I'm at Jones Bridge and Buice, just North of Old Alabama, so Orton is relatively close too. I’m up in your area all the time on the weekends. I’m planning to check out that car show at Giovanni’s (Right around Lowes, I think), weekend after next.

Great...Giovanni's is great (only 1.5 miles from my house), though always more Ferrari's and Lambo's than Porsches. I use to live in the Falls of Autry Mills.....

Did you get aftermarket diverter valves with your ECU upgrade?

No. I've heard from some tuners that you need/could use them at Stage 1, and some tuners told me not to worry about it. I had Orton check the DV integrity and they looked fine.

My thinking is when/if my car no longer holds 1.0 BAR or if it seems to be building boost more slowly, I'll look into billet replacements. From what I understand, they're even relatively easy to do yourself.
