My Car has Gone Nuts...

I don't know what the deal is but I am hoping somebody can shed some light.

2001 911 Turbo, 23K miles. Recently, each time I try and start my car, my passenger side window goes down like somebody is opening the door and the car starts a bit more difficult than usual.

Now this is not the only odd thing, when this happens, it seems everything gets reset, like the battery died or something. I usually keep my cluster dim and it is as bright as it can go when this occurs.

The car always starts, but this is straight messed up. Is my battery on it's last legs maybe? It is going to Porsche on monday but I thought I would ask here for a heads up. I figure it might be something stupid that has happened to our members before.

Thanks IN Advance.

Raymond

yah, check the battery level. I had a similar experience, but it was a bad ignition switch. It thought the key was in the ignition after I took it out. All kinds of other electrical things were going wacky as well. The tech said when the switch goes out, all kinds of electrical stuff would act wacky.

Was the battery. Purchased another MOLL from Porsche. I figured it lasted 7 years, why not another 7.

Thanks for the help guys. Funny thing, the car seems a lot smoother now as well.

Maybe I am just losing it...
