Seth.
Agreed. When problem come up generally the computer will hopefully point you in the DIRECTION. There then is another computer called a brain that has to be switched on. I do a ton of aftermarket EFIs and this sets a pretty good base for the category "what the hell". Techs like to get lazy with the new equipment. It is all still designed by humans! All cars talk. You just have to be able to listen

Autronic COOL! We just started messing with these for a 930 CIS to EFI conversion. This is our choice. Seems right considering its relation ship with the past.
I just finished a 3.4 all the goodies, chatter rings, coatings, modified C2 cams. ( an in-between 964-EVO GTII) T66 modified yada yada. All on a M48. I still love those harnesses. Next is a 3.5 stroker on a T72

Actually that is our modified 66 with a custom back plate CNC 360 grooved bearing 8mm shaft and coated turbine housing. The inlet on the turbo is about 4 inches
You should see the 72 we are about ready to strap on the other motor!

It looks alot like the KKK's Porsche used on the older single turbo's. We used an older hot side on KA, I believe they have size 40 impellars. I'm talking hot side only. We used Garrets on the compressor side.

Yeah, i'm trying the Autronic SMC on a VW GTI VR6 Turbo conversion. Real simple to wire, just functional- no extra outputs though except for boost control and IAV control. Big Garret, intercooler, Tial 40mm wg, got rid of all the emissions stuff and every unneccesary wire in the engine compartment- should make about 400hp.
I'm doing basically the same conversion you are doing on an 87 930 now also- 3.3, 993 studs, o-ringed, ported/polished heads twin plug, titanium retainers, race valve springs, 964 cams, Carrera modified intake, motorsport intercooler, full headers, exhaust, KEP P.P., mechanical boost adjustment, Eugo wide band O2 (those rock) , Tial Blow off valve and Electromotive engine management with the TEC3- I still love the electromotive stuff, esp. w/ the TEC3. I expect around 500 at 1 bar give or take. Also doing all the A/C upgrades to Griffiths stuff but custom hose and condenser work in the rear.
