Car audio system: lifetime warranty?

I recently had a Reus System, reusaudio.com, at the Reus Audio SW Houston, TX branch, installed in my car and the sound quality is great.

Sound quality is subjective but the system was designed specifically for my model of car. One of the most important aspects of the system IMO was that once the system was installed my car still looked factory. Good for resale!

Does anyone else have experience with Reus Systems? Amazingly they offer a lifetime warranty and will even move your system to another car, even if it is a different model for just the labor cost of removal and installation. I've never heard of any other car audio company offering this type of deal.

Has anyone with a Reus System used this service and had it transfered to another car?

Sounds like a great deal....they must

1. Make a huge profit and
2. See that most people in this market don't keep their systems forever....so it is somewhat of an empty promise (would you put an 8 year old system in a brand new high end car...). But it is brilliant marketing.

You're right it is a great marketing technique. The way I understand the warranty is that even if 8 yrs later if you purchase a new high-end car that requires a completely different new system they will still only charge you the cost of removal and installation. I'm sure the labor cost cover their cost of the system but for the customer it will most likely be cheaper than buying a whole new system.

I'm sure the labor cost would go up with inflation over the 8 yr period. Bet most people just sale the audio system with their car when they get rid of it and forget about the transfer into a new model warranty.

Since their systems maintain the stock factory appearance without any type of interior modification I can easily have it removed when I sale the car.

Hopefully I'm not to senile in 8 yrs to remember.
