So got my car just now, and found out that the right front wheel's lip was chipped. The service guys said it might be stone chip or from the tow truck. I told them I inspected the car after the tow truck dropped off the car on Sat and made sure that everything was good, and I just got the set of wheels last Wednesday. So they finally gave in and promised will call a wheel repair guy to come to my place and fix it. Really appreciate how they treated this, but still very unhappy consider that it is a brand new set of wheels and have to be repaired in less than a week. "**** happens" occurs too frequently.

PCNA and GM of DTLA still haven't call back. The cost of repair came out to $589.xx

Ed: You raise a good point. Unfortunately, I've become something of an expert about flatbedding cars...my 930 has been on the AAA truck three times, and the TT twice. Good thing I bought the AAA extended service policy that gives me four tows up to 100 miles. The Porsche CPO paid for one of them. I always do a walk around with the tow truck driver BEFORE he even hooks up to the truck. They have a form that they can use where you can record every nick and chip or gouge in the wheels and body, but you have to aske them for it. Although I've never had to use the form to address any additonal damage, it does serve to make the tow truck driver a lot more cautious, plus it gives me a document to refer to if an issue like yours comes up. When filling out the form on the TT, I noticed that I had put a small nick on the left rear wheel rim...brand new rims. This served to protect the tow truck driver as well as keep me from going ballistic with anyone over something that they didn't do.

PCNA called back "Sorry that we can't help you out on this case, as your radiator hose was reported by the dealership that it is not old, dried, cracked. It possibly be external impact like rocks that caused it even you said you never bottom out the car."

What an expected answer from PCNA

Last resort is GM;

Is filing to small claims court worth it?

Edward,

PM me your contact info. I also need you last name. I just exchanged emails with the GM at the dealership. You did by it from the Porsche store in Downtown and not the MBZ store right? The GM's name you had is not correct. The name you have (Ely) is the GM for the MBZ store. He wants to contact you and resolve the situation. He wasn't aware of this issue. His emails indicate to me that he is a good business man and understands the importance of maintaining a good reputation in the Porsche community.

Yes I got it from the Porsche store not the MBZ store. The receptionist said Ely is the GM for both and transferred me to his voicemail.

That is good to hear, pm-ed you my info.

Thanks for the help Mike.

Here I have to once again thanks Mike for the help to contact the GM of DTLA for me. He called me today and promised to write be back a check for the cost of repair. I can tell a huge difference between the GM who runs the business and the sales people. The GM is a really nice guy and he did appologized for the things happened.

It is good to hear Downtown LA Porsche stepped up. That is the way to run a business. To save a few hundred bucks and alienate a customer is just very poor business practice.
