Yes, the 917 owner is from Fullerton and drives it to special events and our Zone 8 Concours in Huntington Beach every year. The cop just look and never bother him. I attached some pictures from last years concours.

Awesome!! I had such a great time that morning with you guys. Love the videos and pics! - too bad you hit that water in the last vid - we were neck and neck my friend! Great turnout on Saturday as recently it's just been bigger and bigger . . .

I went by the p-lot at around 10am and saw the white Mercedes back with the drivers parents looking at it . . . pieces were still strewn around the pole their son nailed and the car's left side was just totaled . . . the wheels were mashed in at a 45 degree angle and it looks like the guy tried to drive away but the tires shredded not long after . . . wish i had a camera to take a picture!! but it was to see after the fact - lol

That is why I made sure I posted that video, great run. My wheels spun only at the begining (1st gear). I let off at 107MPH and you shot by me like I was standing still.

I got there at 7:00 A.M. and the lot the 6speeders were in was completely filled up. I had to go to the back of the lot where they were shooting pictures of the girl in short-shorts with leggings.

The 917 shown in the pictures from last years concours doesn't look like the same one at this weekend's Cars and Coffee.

At 7am, most of the spots were full. We me at my house at 5:45 and then off the C&C to get the best spots. Then around 8:30am to Crystal Cove.

It is the same 917. The only one in California I know of.

It is not street legal. He only drives it to special events and the car is not registered to drive on CA streets. The Cops do not bother him. The owner is 60+ years old.
