at what rpm should i launch the car at for a good launch at the strip.

 

I never rev my engine and then let the clutch out. I have perfected my gas to clutch timing that allows me to launch the car out of the hole without trashing the clutch and drive train. I would suggest you practice this method instead. Remember, equal gas and clutch release and be smooth throughout the process.

 

I launched my car to a 1.72 60ft on 19s by bumping the throttle between 3300-3800 (rough estimate) and then slipping the clutch till the car starts to move and then dumped it. I have been 2x 1.7x's and a few 1.8s this way.
