whining sound coming from my engine compartment

hi there,

my car started to make a whining sound coming from the engine compartment when i start the car in the morning. it will depress if i depress the clutch now it is coming more often even if the car is worm but only at low RPMs and still goes away if i depress the clutch.

Any ideas on what it might be?

Thanks Guys fir your replays.

It seems like it is my Clutch Accumulator as i do have a funny clutch peddle feeling and it is very stiff when the engine is off. Now, do i only have to change the accumulator and be done with it or is it more involving?

Thanks.

you should only have to replace the accumulator. Dealers will ask for $800-$1000 to replace part/labor. I found an independent that did it for about $350, parts/labor.

This is your problem. I changed the reservoir myself. This is what I sent to my buddy Mike at Carlsen Porsche and I quote. The PN below is what you need.

I have had this annoying high pitched noise coming from the right side of the engine bay. It is a high pitched whistle noise (Valve Flutter) that only appears when coasting down at between 1-2K RPM, as soon as I depress the clutch it goes away. I have replaced the clutch slave cylinder and expansion ball.
