There is no glass at all, the car doesnt have a glass sunroof, at least none that I know of and not mine. It's solid, no see through. There is no glass to remove.

Really needs someone to have a good inspection under the liner.

I think it's a fantastic idea and would love to go with it, but I take the safety aspect into consideration, just don't want my head ripped off if I roll the car, come off the track the other day and could have rolled it easily, touch wood again!

New car group buy?? HAHAHAHA.

I need to lose about 100 lbs from where I am now, and that puts me at my minimum competition weight with AWD at my current power level with non DOT slicks. To close to home base to start from sratch.

Though I do want a new bone stock car to beat GT-R's with.

HUX is infamous around these parts
I did it once on a client's car. An E46 M. Made the swap to the CLS´s. I do like sunroofs and use frequently the one in my car, but my client wa very happy with the result, We used all thr OEM parts, from de CLS.

Although we didn´t use any tools out of our regular stock, we did use the special adhesive, had to remove both the rear glass and the windshield, 3 people where needed to perform the job safely.

The CSL replacement is an entire roof replacement to CF as well though isnt it?

Still keen on the idea, as long as it was a safe option.

Can't you remove the roof, put a carbon fiber roof replacement and use GT2 headliners?
I know full CF roof's go for less than 1k.

Sorry, wish I had better news, but a one-off custom carbon section would be insane money (not that it would stop some from doing it).....and unsafe at nearly any speed.
Plus 1 .................After seeing Eddie sunroof blow off twice I will weld in the GT2 roof and use the roof rack rails as my seam.

Probably a rules violation....if the PCA were to actually notice it.....and if you rolled...the thing, as Eric stated, would not stop your head and a rock/bar/stump from meeting in the same place and time.....

Not worth it. My 2c.
