If so, whats your fastest lap time at the big track?

 

I can run 1:24's... (Big Track) I could run similar times at Streets...

On my motorcycles! It was a superstock legal GSXR750 (a few of them over the years)...

I've never had my Pcar out there yet but I will soon!

 

You the same KATO from SCS? When did you get into the 24's...fastest I've been on my R6 was around 1:26, but I dont race WSMC. Let me know when you're bringing your cage out there and I'll bring my 996 C4S

 

Yup, that's me. I ran high 1:24's the last year that I raced there officially as my best time (about 1.5 years ago now). My race laps were typically 25's-27's depending on the day/weather, etc... That was all per the AMB transponder setup. I was on a 2006 Gix750 that was SS legal.

I remember you from SCS. Small world! I'd love to get out there sometime soon in the 996TT and have some fun. I used to have a 996 C4S but my father fell in love with it and so I sold it to him and picked up the TT to switch it up a bit (about a year ago). I miss the C4S but can still drive it when I visit him!

Did you have Dennis work on your 996? He did a great job on my car but we're still adding/upgrading in a couple of areas. He's also currently planning out the system on my S6 Avant which should come out nicely!

 

All it has is the GT3 bypass pipes on there now, but Im intently looking for a 996TT....there's a GT700 and Protomotive on here that I'm looking at to step up to the boost side....unfortunately they are pretty far from SoCal.

I may be out at dustin's May 3/4 trackday at willow....maybe I can talk him into letting us out on the track during lunch!

 

Good luck on the TT search. They are different animals for sure. A GT700 would be awesome! If you can talk The Shocker into letting us out, I might roll up for the afternoon just for old time's sake... I haven't been out to Willow in quite awhile b/c I've been busy doing other things.

I am looking into sportbikes again as I took about a year off. I've been riding in the dirt, riding my Sumo and playing with cars again... As soon as I pick one up I'm sure I'll get back out to the track more regularly again! Glad to hear that you are well and still riding! Stay safe.
