Emergency Trunk & Hood release?

Sorry to ask a newbie type question but where are (if there are) the emergency releases for both the Trunk and Hood? Since everything is electrical if the power goes out for any reason and you need to reach the battery seems like you would be screwed. I didn't get an Owner's Manual when I bought the car so I haven't been able to check.

I just had a situation in which my battery went down and I was screwed because I couldn't reach it. I looked around for any manual releases for the trunk (front) and didn't see any. To save time I just lifted the car up and boosted it from underneath. There has to be an easier way.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What year car? For the MY03 you can hook a jumper to the fuse box.

I believe there is also a manual release, passenger side.

Thanks for the tips, I'm gonna look around for a manual release in the passenger side. I'll see if I can just jump the fuse box, I haven't tried it. Its a 2002 TT Coupe BTW.

hi...Also under the drivers rear tail light is the pull for the tail, Then you can put a jump pack to the terminals by the oil filter.

Front manual release

To reach the front manual release, you have to remove the RF wheel. and get behind the wheel well cover up front. I guess they didn't want it to be too easy.
