Lacquer/Polymer Paint?

My TT is currently sitting at the shop having the Gemballa kit installed (traded in the TA kit), and the shop is trying to sell me the lacquer/polymer paint job? They're claiming it's the last paint job you'll ever need, and the car will retain that wet & glossy shine (like the showroom cars) forever?

Is anyone familiar with this kind of paint job? Oh by the way, the price tag is between 17-18k!!! Personally I don't think this is something that's practical for cars that are being driven on a regular basis, maybe it's good for people that display their collection of cars at home but hardly take the cars out. What do you guys think?

Peter

Never heard of it...If your only painting bumper covers and side skirts, I would have it painted like the car body is with clear coat. You want it to match. Just my 2 cents...
