Have any installed the AP 650 turbo kit from Vivid Racing?
Dan Rules
Put in the 650 kit on my 2002 X-50 which was already a solid, quick car. Can't speak for the EVO 660GT as I have not tried it. But with the AP 650 kit my 996TT has turned into an awesome beast.Putter around town the car is totally tractable & it sounds like a very mildly modified Porsche with a normal muffler and no boy-racer nonsense. Open it up & do some pulls with it, not only is it astoundingly quick, but it sounds like the engine is infested with banshees--other cars on the highway stare at you in shear terror just due to the sound. The external waste gates make the most amazing sound, obviously reduce back pressure. Vivid customer service is astounding--someone has always called or e-mailed me back within 5 minutes. It's a great package especially if you add the list of extra goodies listed under the package. Way to go Dan.

Its handled now. I will call you around the same time today. If you want to talk earlier, just PM me.
DMaffo - Thanks brotha!
Zip22 - I thought those would help you out!
996TT650 - no problem!

I agree with Luis. I have already posted a 60-130 time of 7.83 seconds. I know that I can improve slightly with a faster shift. I think my shift was measured as a miserable .6 seconds. My car aslo dyno'd at 550 whp on a mustang dyno. I am always up for some friendly races in mexico.
I think that both kits probably produce similar hp and torque. I went with Evoms because I have had extensive history with them and my M3. I also went with this kit because of their new patented turbine housings. They are supposed to be very efficient with less lag and less loss of boost with shifting.
As far a customer service? Well I can tell you that I have always been treated like a friend and valued customer at Evoms. I show up frequently without appointment and they will remove a car from a lift and put my car in the air in ten minutes. They are a full service Porsche shop and have all the same fancy computers that the dealer has just in case they need to trouble shoot should anything go wrong. I am a very satisfied customer.

Cab + Tip + me = 4000lbs +
Road condition = slightly uphill
The best out of two pulls was:
0-60 = 3.5
0-100 = 7.7
1/4 = 11.5 @ 125
60-130 = the road was short and had to slow down
Divexxtreme (if you are reading this)
Is it possible to pull a good 60-130 on a Tip? If yes, how?
Thanks
Their Mustang and our Mustang Dyno are not calibrated the same. I am inviting you over here free of charge to do a back to back. It is also good to gauge to see where we stand when we publish numbers. Comparisons or "tests" need to have all the same variables to be kept consistant. We need to have a base test first with each car on the same venue.

I have not dealt with EVOMs directly. I got my EVOMs products thru SharkWerks; and everyone in N. Cal knows the customer service is top notch.

Dan would you be willing to bring your car to their dyno? If so I can talk to them.
Steve, I have no desire to go to EVOMS after the things they have done towards us over the past 2 years. At the same time, I appreciate them because it has driven us to dive into this market and give 6speeders and Porsche customers a great product and service. Sorry. I even had a conversation with Mike 2 weeks ago on the phone and we are just not on the same page.
You were a customer and friend of ours and I have no reason to do anything hurtful to you or your beliefs. I respect and will protect your interests.
As far as the results and dyno tests, man on man, handshake, nothing will be posted or revealed without you and I mutually agreeing on it. We can sign a paper, shake on it, swap pinky swears, I dont care. I am more interested to see how my car compares. I truly think you may do better!

Take the cars to the tack and run them. Dyno's don't mean ****.
