New member here...Need some help about purchasing modded 996tt

I've been on this forum for awhile, but haven't really posted much since i don't own any Porsches. I've been a Porsche fanatic for a long time and i am seriously considering about buying 996tt. But, i'm worried about the maintenance costs and reliability. I've had my modded E55 for about 3 1/2 years with almost no issues and i keep goin back and forth about whether i should keep it or get a nicely modded 996tt. i tried to ask my friends with Porsches couple questions, but i've never really gotten a clear answers.
So my questions are
1. I'm considering a Protomotive 650 tt. How long does the clutch last for and what are the best trans. upgrade options out there?

2. In order to run 650 properly/consistently, what else do i need to add on top of Protomotive 650 package?

3.How much does it cost for maintenance? How often?

4. RWD conversion. Is it reliable? have a feeling that it would put lot of stress to the rear with that kind of power.

Thanks and i look forward to learn/take advice from all you guys in the future!

Hey Joon,
You are definately in the right place for these answers. Although there are many here MUCH more Knowledgeable than me I will attempt to answer some of your questions....

2. In order to run 650 properly/consistently, what else do i need to add on top of Protomotive 650 package? Intercoolers if they are not already done.

3.How much does it cost for maintenance? How often? Oil changes that's it bro... Spark plugs maybe once a year if you drive a lot.....

4. RWD conversion. Is it reliable? have a feeling that it would put lot of stress to the rear with that kind of power. We discussed this the other day. At this power level it's more about how safe you will feel with 650hp and rear wheel drive. The car can take it....

Go for it Joon. I can understand your reservation but my car has been 100% reliable and I just broke 50K. We have some very good shops in the area. I use Protosport and they have been great. The car you are looking at was done right by an enthusiast. Right now it's more a matter of will you want to convert it back to AWD? Intercoolers? and seat time...... Let me know when your back home and we can go for a drive in my car.

Good Luck Buddy!!!!!!!!

What's up Alan?
thanks for the reply.
That Proto 650 tt is the only thing that im lookin at these days
and i can't focus on anything other than that!! bad bad bad...
As far as Intercoolers, i've seen GT2 intercoolers and EVOMS Clubsport
intercoolers. but, not sure what's the best set-up.
Clutch/Flywheel would be the first thing on my list.
I looked at couple, but im gonna have to ask for the best set-up as well.
Anyways, i should be back in town in about 2 weeks or so (little delay)
I will give u a call before.
Thanks again.
