HELP what do you think?

Guys,

I need your expert opinions. Is a 02 Silver, Black with some carbon fiber and heated seats, new 997 turbo wheels, new tires, original wheels, ECU flash and intake with 13,600 miles for $61,000 a good deal? Thanks guys.

AJ

I am no expert, but that sounds reasonable to me, it has low K.I would 100% get a PPI and see if you get get the maintenance records on the car.

I'm getting a PPI done from a dealer. I didn't go with a leakdown (like I did on my 930) or compression check. The dealer said that was 6 hours of labor and unnessary. What does everyone think, good deal, smoking deal, fair deal, not a good deal?

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. When I was shopping most of the cars I found in the mid to lower 50's where in need of some work and the car you're looking at sounds pretty well maintained and low mileage, I'd do it.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Just look it over closely yourself and ensure the PPI looks good to you.

I agree, I think it sounds like a good price. The car has low miles, but doesn't have many options. If the car has any type of warranty included, make sure the dealer is OK with the car being flashed, and of course make sure the PPI is clean and the service records are included.

I'm not sure but the current owner said it's got just about every option offered for the 02 model year. I know it doesn't have Nav but it has the leather dash, heated and memory seats. It doesn't have the Porsche crest in the head rests which I sorta wanted but can live without. One thing I noticed is that it has the, for a lack of a better word, skinny shifter. It doesn't have the thicker shifter I see in other turbos. Thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure the leather dash and memory seats were standard for turbo cars? Sounds about like my car and it is considered 'low' optioned with only an alcantara headliner, aluminum shifter/ebrake and a few other misc options.

If the car is in good shape, then that is a very good deal.

Well, my friend Bobby has a 01 white no pait work with 650 rwhp protomotive custom built set up with well over $45K into the tuning and the car also has only 16K miles... I think he wants 80 or 81K without the HRE competition rims... thats is a smoking deal if someone wants a custom tuned protomotive car that runs low 10s.. just my opinion...

Thanks fellas. The PPI came back clean. The car's in excellent condition.
Regarding the option level of the car, I really have no idea fellas. I'm sure you know more about it than I do at this point. I know it has heated seats lol.

If your friends car wasn't white I would consider it. It sounds like he has a monster.

From all the PMs I've received on this forum and just reading the responses it seems like it is a really good deal. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger. The hardest part is waiting to go and get it.

But white is THE hot color - how can you pass that up?

I know, I know, it's a personal thing - but if I had found a nice white 996TT I would have snatched it up in a minute

Good luck with your purchase - and post pics as soon as you get it (hopefully with hot chicks standing around it)

Cheers

Sounds like a good fair deal to me, I paid 14k more for my 03 same color in and out with 1,300 miles, nav, crest in seats, ruffled leather memory seats, full allum pkg interior, door sils and cpo. Worth every penny imho. Enjoy in good health!
