techart style front bumpers
Bumper arrived as scheduled on friday. All parts were included (radiator ducts, two lips and front bumper).
Here are my first impressions:
LIPS: Large lip fits fine over the bumper but the small lip does not fit well. My bodyman came over to the house to look at it and says he can get it to fit but it will take work. Hoping to hear back from Misha on whether my small lip was a bad batch or they are all like this. The lips are extremely "flimsy". I'm not sure how the real ones are or even other replica kits but I will be having mine reinforced with fiberglass to make it thicker.
Ducts: The ducts appear to "fill" the bumper hole well. More results/pics on tuesday when we do an actual test fit. The finish on the ducts are not that clean. I'll have pics later on tonight to show you what I mean. It will need to be cleaned up by a shop.
Bumper: Bumper looks pretty good. As with all fiberglass replica kits, there are small waves in the fg but nothing extremely bad. Once again, my bodyman said it will take work to get it done "perfect" but it can be done. More on the actual fitment on tuesday night.
I've taken pics and will upload them tonight. Stay tuned

My thoughts/opinions of the kit is solely based on my own and my very meticulous, very experienced bodyman. I am goign to be as thorough and objective as I can so anyone interested in these replica kits will know what they are getting into. The lips aren't "that" big of a deal. Like I mentioned, the large lip fits well, it's just the lower one that needs some work/trimming.
The real test is tomorrow night when we actually try to mount the TA front on the car. I don't expect any problems b/c I believe that Misha has a reputation to uphold and won't sell/broker bad parts.

As we all know, Misha makes and sell good products. The TA bumper is not made by Misha but he "brokers" it I suppose. I'm sure he wouldn't do that if it's bad quality.FYI, I know a lot of people that get these kits don't bother with the ducts b/c it can be difficult to mount. I'm determined and have confidence that my guy can do the work so I'll post before and after pics to show the "work" involved to get these things put on.
Oh, for those that are on the fence about getting this kit, remember that all FG kits need some work/trimming to be done. Any competent bodyshop can make it work if the kit is a good fit.
