I would rather have a Turbo with 30k miles for $10 to $15k more. These cars average about 4k miles a year.

So if the prices are cheap, how does this one seem priced:

http://www.jenkinsautosales.com/CarD...AB29951S685954

Too high? Last week it was 46,900.

Checking values on Edmunds is crazy, the difference between "Clean" and "Outstanding", or "Average" is about 4,200. Anything with 50K miles or above, subtract about 1600.

Although for the record I think I like both of the "low" priced cars above.....

A buddy of mine bought an 01 with 50k miles for 47k recently. This seems right inline with that. The rims and mods are definitely a nice bonus though. 67k is alot of miles though.

There are SO many Turbo's with 15k to 20k miles to choose from, therefore the 50k to 75k miles ones not in demand and are forced drop their prices, a lot.

For ~$15k more you can have something like this with less than 500mls a year. The thing is basically brand new for probably less than 1/2 of orginal price. I'm looking for a 996TT but I'm wondering if 6 months more of this economy, the new 09s modesl coming and more great 50-80k cars on the market (C63, GTR, etc) will drive these great cars down another $5-$10k more. Either way looks like they are a great value.

Perhaps these Turbo's along with other "high end" cars have such crap resale value because they get to be too expensive to repair. Its pretty much par for the course that after warranties run out on expensive cars, you can pick them up for pennies.
The people that can truley afford to buy them will always buy newer or nicer. That leaves the bottom of the barrel cars to those that cant. In turn, after each consecuitive sale...the cars become worse because they are not properly taken care of.

Its cheaper to buy a 2001 turbo than it is to buy a nice 930, or 965. You cant touch a 993TT for that cheap. Perhaps in a couple weeks I can go trade my SC in on one. ....never.

I have yet to see one go for high 30's. To me that is a perfect candidate for building up into a street/track car with sparco seats, all out engine mods, etc. You could have yourself a 600 hp track car for under 60k. ECU/echaust=5k, seats, tires and basic suspension upgrades= approx 11k.
