It is possible to bubble a tire due to impact with no other visible signs inside or out. We see it daily. If the bead is that soft, I would have it checked out, too.

44 seems pretty excessive. That means that when it's heated up you are running around 40/48

It's better to stick to the factory recommendation if you're on 19"s. On 18"s it's a diffrent story.

i didn't even realize he was running 19's. That changes the game probably.
But still, i'eve never heard anyone run the recommendation. I also thought the recommendation was the MAX PSI to run. 44 cold seems WAY WAY to high, that's 48psi warm. Most tires I know of can't handle that.

Wow really? I don't know much about tire pressures, or cars for that matter ... I just like to drive 'em. But why would there be such a big difference between the GT3 and TT? I assume because of the weight and RWD vs AWD? I guess it's just a little confusing when Porsche and Michelin say to run 36/44 and then you have a bunch of people here swearing that's way too high. Hrm...

I've got PS2s on my 18s and figured I'd start with the recommended 36/44 and so far it seems fine. I haven't had them on long enough to really say, so at this point I'm just trying to put some miles on the tires before I start messing with tire pressures and making any real judgements on the tires.
